and registration of mags that bear no identifiable markings. This is going to go swimmingly.

Sounds like something Finklestein...eeeerrrrr Feinstein would dream up....because she obviously has no clue about personal defense weapons...but thats for another topic of conversation

But she doesn't HAVE to have a clue does she? In her mind ALL GUNS are EVIL and need to be removed from private hands. It was very "convenient" for her that the shooter in CT was reported to have used a Bushmaster. Coincidentally, Feinstein and her staff had been working diligently on a renewed "assault weapon" ban package since the reason the 1994 ban "didn't work" was that it had too many loopholes. Of course this is a LIE, the 1994 ban didn't work because these weapons were RARELY used in any crimes then or now! This is like banning Lamborghinis from interstate highways to reduce traffic deaths and then saying "see, it didn't work! We need to ban Chevys and Fords also." How many Lambo's are there to start with and how many deaths are caused by them? It's statistically so small that it can't be measured. So of course, the Lambo-ban would be ineffective.

I'm sure that Sen. Feinstein had a "bundle" of ban-packages ready to go just waiting for the right opportunity. Had the Newtown shooter used a shotgun, what do you think Feinstein would have proposed? What if he'd used a machete? It was all about TIMING and exploiting a tragedy for political gain.

If conservatives do this, they are labelled as "insensitive", "exploitive", or just plain "mean". But when liberals do this they label themselves as "progressive", "caring", and "vigilant".

First, it is not correct to say that Feinstein & Co. don't have a clue. The problem is that they do have a clue, fully approve of the possession and use of such weapons for their own benefit, and are experts at manipulating the sheep to create an increasingly imbalanced relationship between the government and people with the balance of power favoring the government which, by definition, is tyranny.

I will agree with jwh20 that anyone opposing the leftists will reliably get clobbered by the media while the leftists themselves dance in innocent blood because they control most all of the traditional media outlets. Unfortunately, this is a losing battle given that the left has spent decades locking down this control and the damage will be completed in less time than it would take to develop a reliable conduit of information from those who uphold the Constitution and the republic to the average person who is not particularly searching for such information. I forecast a long winter.
