So what I am seeing is that required training by the state just floods the market with "trainers" trying to make a buck off of the requirement. Sell your training for cheap (because you are under qualified) and make a killing.

We've seen plenty of scary photos.

    Here's a couple more...

Hope that's a really tall berm...

High drag, low speed, shoot your buddy in the back drill.

These two are from a school where the company's owner has recently been arrested on his third D.V. charge.

He's probably got his attorney on speed dial.

Totally NOT defending anyone or anything but, pictures can be deceitful. The kneeling shot is cropped, you can see some dirt towards the top of the frame. The second pic is just a very bad angle.
Now, as for the instructor pic, uh, yeah he's an idiot. Same goes for the photog.

Here is the TRAINING he offers. He lists "NRA Defensive Pistol" among the standard NRA offerings. I didn't know this class existed yet!

The NRA Defensive Pistol course does exist. I am not aware of it being offered anywhere in Indiana. With all the trining options we have nearby I doubt there would be much interest. The student packet is basically the Personal Protection Outside the Home book. There is a required shooting test that has to be passed to get the certificate. I do not know the specifics.

The pictures look bad. But I do not know everything that is going on. I can not think of any reason for the instructor to be standing where he is and in most classrooms there is probably not a safe direction to be pointing real guns. At least the guns certinly look real.

    I don't see a problem.

I learned on INGO that as long as the students are comfortable pointing a gun at an instructor, that's the only thing that matters.
