I have my class A and have been driving for a local beer distributor the last 5 years. I love the job and am happy with the pay and benefits. I have an opportunity to pick up a few weekend loads for my BIL who is an owner operator. It will be hauling grain from a local plant. I’m not sure if it is livestock feed or commodity grain but I have no experience with the hopper type trailers. My BIL says a load pays 1300 and would pay me $600. I understand he has fuel, maintenance, insurance to pay. I’ve never done this before and just wanted to see if that rate seems reasonable.
