    Two quick questions.

    1. I have heard nothing but good reviews on Charles Daly products, but how do they really stack up?

    2. What are opinions as far as carrying the full size models? I haven't been able to get a shoulder-rig yet, but I hope to find one at the 1500 this weekend.

(I'll try to buy some swag at least :) )

If you're looking at getting a CD 1911, wait. Charles Daly Defense has a new 1911 line called the G4 that is supposed to be out this fall (October-ish). Much like their M4 carbines, it was designed with input from experienced end users. It will be built in Israel to CDD's specifications.

I bought mine a few weeks ago (first firearm purchase for me).

I had a military vet say they make great stuff, but I've also noticed it's one of the most affordable, so I'm sure it will shoot what I aim at, but in about 500 rounds or so, I've had three jams, where the round didn't make it into the chamber before the slide returned all the way... or something like that.

Doesn't take rocket science to clear it quickly (2-3 sec), but still a hassle :(.

That one looks almost just like mine, except I outed the wood grips for Hogue, and mine has branding on the slide.
