I simply did a Google search and saw one of your forum members was selling a scope mount that I wanted. I’m not a big talker so it would take me years to get 50 posts.

Not trying to scam anybody.

Don't worry about them.

If you can't make the 50 posts.. then another option is the 'site supporter" for $20.

We are a 'forum' first.
And we just happen to have the classifieds, for members of the forum.
Participation helps the forum.
Or the $20 helps the forum.

If not, there are other options, such as gunbroker and such.

No drama. Really. Happens all the time. People don't read the rules or don't think we take them seriously. So we have some fun with them. Those who take it well and persevere often become members in good standing and make some new friends. Those who get their neck all bowed up and think they're special get the ban hammer and we're better off. Works for us.

I do realize search engines bring folks here based on specific searches. I'm asking you to understand the all-volunteer staff here at INGO has nothing to do with that.

Please take what's below as advice from an old timer.


OK, where to begin...

50 quality posts are required for access to the classifieds. Site Supporter status bypasses this, but the vetting process of being an active member here is why many choose to use the classifieds here.

INGO is a discussion forum with a classifieds section. We are not Armslist or Gunbroker. We are more like a big dysfunctional family than anything, but it's OUR big dysfunctional family.

In my signature line (along with the links to the site and classifieds rules) you'll see "come for the classifieds, stay for the discussion." That sums up a lot about INGO.

Also we are different from most places on the Interwebz since we quite often know each other in the realz. We have shot together, eaten together, and cried together when we lost more friends than I can count.

Like I said: come for the classifieds, stay for the discussion.

paying $20 isn't "skirting the rules".
It is LITERALLY following the rules.

People may not do business with someone does that, because there is no "post history", or "just because".
But it's not 'skirting'
