Butter, hands down.
If you desire spreadable, there is a canola oil addition that works great.
Butter doesn't need to be refrigerated if it is used within about a week, longer when the room temp is reasonably cool.
I generally keep it in the freezer (lots) but I keep a pound or so at room temp for use. My unsalted for baiking is out all winter.
