There is no direct confirmation and making these kind of judgements is difficult like we saw with the grocery store guy, but at first glance of a slightly blurry photos and a video clip being claimed on the internet as the suspect, he appears to be a young black male dressed in fairly stereotypical young black male attire. This is my subjective impression and does not constitute objective fact at this time.

The Capitol police officer killed by a knife-wielding driver in Washington DC on Friday has been identified as veteran cop Billy Evans. Evans had worked for the Capitol Police for 18 years.
