    I've thought about connecting one of my radios to the internet. It would most likely be tuned to the Central Indiana Skywarn Backbone net. Which during severe weather takes reports and spreads information to the various local nets in and around Central Indiana.

    good coverage for Hendricks co. Until I become more familiar with the area is there a list of dept. call signs? Such as; I think the state police use call sign 52-___ and I think Brownsburg is using "Edward or Mary"

    A little helpful info for your "scanning pleasure".

    Regarding law enforcement:

    A (Adam) = Admin
    D (David) = Detective
    E (Edward) = Enforcement
    M (Mary) = Motorcycle or traffic enforcement
    S (Sam) = Support

    32 = Hendricks County Sheriff
    9 = Danville PD
    10 = Lizton PD
    11 = Pittsboro PD
    12 = Plainfield PD
    13 = Brownsburg PD
    14 = Avon PD
    31 = Clayton PD
    51 = Amo PD
    61 = Coatesville PD
    71 = Stilesville PD
    81 = North Salem PD

    The fire service basically follows the same district numbering. For instance, Engine 92 is Danville, Medic 121 is Plainfield, Ambulance 71 is Stilesville, and so on. There are no fire or EMS units that use the 32 prefix in any way.

    Hope this helps.
