"It does. Nothing worse than floppy floppy (as previously mentioned). I've been to a couple of theirs at seelyville and bedford contingent.
I found it even better after adding trauma pads."

Same here, one at Seelyville with Slim and two at the Bedford Contingent, one with Slim and one with Nad63. Got my second patch at Seelyville! Man those were so much fun, and I learned so much.

I know I am about ready for another one, hopefully something next year will come up.
As long as ammo price drops, or that's an expensive weekend. Still well worth it for the level of instruction we get for the $. Slim and Nigel are the best.

I ordered mine yesterday and got my shipment confirm same day, looks like supply is keeping up with demand

Botach sent an email that they canceled the 25 June order and to reorder. Some of the stuff I ordered was unavailable but the level IV plates were in stock. The order shipped today. They currently show 36 in stock down from over 450 several days ago.

    *Please forgive the terrible photography.*

Again, I am no means an expert. Please take these points with a grain of salt.

A secondary rig was constructed in the event we need to "hard exfil". Like a fire extinguisher, I hope I never have to use them. But the mantra is "if we can't protect us, we can't protect them."

I modified the primary rig to allow the new pack setup. Here goes (backwards):

Rig #2: Condor MOPC carrier, standard SAPI cut 10x12 lvl3 steel plates, sm tear-away trauma kit, admin/kangaroo pouch 3mag insert, NAR TQ w/shears, light, integral backpack/camelbak. Very basic setup.

I was inspired by a video (https://youtu.be/mfBtq6zX1ww) to try this. Works VERY WELL. Find any brand pack that has removable straps and buckles (I had to get a few extra buckles, cheap on ebay).
The idea was to be able to remove partially and wholely a lightweight pack. It panned out ok, still need to field test.

Removed the shoulder straps, and left chest & waist straps (you'll want them there later). Used additional buckles with a short piece of lashing woven through the carrier to create an attachment point.

The pack slips over head while carrier is donned, one simply needs to attach new points of contact and then connect waist belt/buckle. Leaving the chest belt buckled makes this much easier.
While everything is on, one need only to unbuckle the waist belt and flip it overhead to access without removing. Flip it back, rebuckle waist, and g2g. I left the lashing w/ buckles cinched on backpack so it can still be used as a stand alone pack.
Edit: I did not add additional buckles to chest area as seen in video. The additional support/pivot point is good and all, but that's just more buckles to deal with.

The cobra belt (Tacticon brand) is set up for a pistol w/ 2 mag pouches. This way I can use it as a gun belt at the range, classes, comp, etc. It also has an extra NAR TQ in phylster holder, as well as a single AR mag pouch.
Edit: pistol holster is a Black Rhino pancake, mag holders are G-code.

Wow. No question what inspired that design. Level of practicality is useless when your "cool factor" is unfathomable. They'll simply stop shooting and oogle. I can't stop looking.

You'll end up pulling a lot of that bulk off when you see how sloppy it forces you to carry and manuever your rifle. The only thing I ended up liking on my back was a camel back. As a civilian I found the best rig was a 2 mag pouch, pen, seat belt cutter, basic med kit w tq, and an Admin light.

I suppose you can put whatever you’d like on it as long as you train with it. Just because one person isn’t comfortable with another’s rig doesn’t mean it just doesn’t work.

I tend to stop at doubling up mags on the front (pistol mags in front of rifle). Anything that sticks out farther than that is a pain in the ass... especially if you need to shoot prone. If you need to get into a vehicle or drive one, you'll also find out quickly that most anything mounted to the back really sucks.

Or even sitting in a chair. I gave up doubles after a class getting into and out of a vehicle with kit on. Then feeling ridiculous trying to do any kind of transitional movements. Egress and escape are my motivation and intention with my prep 60 rounds on my carrier will cover just about any scenario short of Mogadishu.

The Admin light is the most handy thing I've got on my carrier now. I can light up an entire scene for first aid without using hands or mouth to hold a light.
