Never actively done it, gone to Idaho on bear hunts with a cougar tag in my pocket a few times in case the opportunity presented itself. I will definitely be participating if this passes. They’ve tried this once before though for the southern half of the state, but that bill ended up not passing.

This one is pretty far along in the process, so it stand a better then fair chanceNever actively done it, gone to Idaho on bear hunts with a cougar tag in my pocket a few times in case the opportunity presented itself. Yes it’s waiting for Governor but he doesn’t have to sign it for it to move on to the DNR…. It has to go through the rule committee for the DNR to establish some type of season and where! Can anybody confirm this is waiting on Holcomb’s signature?
Seems I saw that somewhere but can’t find it again.
Here's where it's at now: it passed both the Senate and the House. It started in the Senate so it's back there. The Pro Tempore will sign, the House Speaker will sign, then it goes to the Governor. Can anybody confirm this is waiting on Holcomb’s signature?

I'd imagine whatever you are deer hunting with when one happens to walk by at the time. If a season is approved, that is how most will be killed. What would be your caliber of choice for bobcat? I would think never action .357 would be about right?
17 remington,I have killed many in Tx with it and it does not mess up the hide. What would be your caliber of choice for bobcat? I would think never action .357 would be about right?
Don't count on it being a hunting season it may very well be Trapping only unless trappers can't get the number of cats being allowed….. it also most likely will be just areas in the Southern part of the state like the last proposal was 32 counties. What would be your caliber of choice for bobcat? I would think never action .357 would be about right?
I am ready to bang some cats with my rifle...Here's where it's at now: it passed both the Senate and the House. It started in the Senate so it's back there. The Pro Tempore will sign, the House Speaker will sign, then it goes to the Governor.

You only think you've been the hunter...I hunted cougars for years.

I think cougars would be limited to certain zip codes. Not sure about bag or possession limits...If we ever have a cougar season... well there goes the neighborhood
