Hey guys, been a while since I checked in. I'm now officially "TiminTampa" and I'm not missing the winter, but I am missing deer bigger than 70 lbs, lol. They grow em tiny down here. Another thing I kind of miss is hunting when it's not wet outside - just not an option here. I'm learning a lot about how and wet weather on gun finishes and basically, it's murder. I'm already going to have to strip and reblue the barrel on a flintlock I made, which has me looking at my caplock as well, since I'll be taking them both out after swamp hogs again. I want to keep traditional finishes on both of them but I'm thinking about stripping all the bluing off of both and going with a browning instead. Has anyone had any chance to compare blueing vs browning and which resists rust better? Thanks in advance.
