    Along this same vein, I wonder what these black tipped rounds in some sort of clip (magazine?) are.
    They measure .3075" and crimped with cannelure and R A 43 headstamp.
    A little googling says .30 carbine. Are they possibly armor piercing?

    Those are (30-06) M2 AP rounds in an M1 Garand en bloc clip, yes a clip. Loaded by Remington Arms in 1943 I believe. I’ll take those if not needed. :)

    As for the Blue Tip stuff being the cynic that I am I almost think they’re just 223 SP that have been dipped in blue paint. Been wrong plenty of times in the past though.
