Best .22lr Lever-Action Rifle...???

Another vote for the Browning BL-22 for all the reasons already mentioned.
I had one in college and it took a nasty fall down a steep hillside. It got really beat up and I later sold it. This thread makes me want another one!

i like shooting my Winchester 9422. But like others have said they arent cheap.

Also, the Browning BL22 has the shortest throw of the lever action 22s. When I shoot it, mostly for cowboy action side matches, I don't need to remove my right hand from the stock in order to work the lever. Below are pics to compare. Also, DO NOT fall for the large lever loop on some models. It may look cool, but it will make it harder to work the lever, especially if you go for speed.

Heres my #1 sons BL22, its about 15-18 yrs old now. It dosent even have any pot metal or plastic in the inner magazine assy.
Brass and steel.
One cant go wrong with a Browning.

I like the BL22. The quality is top notch and that short lever throw makes it fun to shoot. My only gripe is that I have to make an effort to get my head down low enough to use the iron sights.
