I think I will have to call bs on this one.....The links for the .45ACP are longer than that mag well...

And I don't know anything about AR's but is that where the spend casings come out? not in?

I too call bs on the 1911, but there are belt fed ar's and other rifles in the "black gun"family, and yes that is where the shells come out, if they modified it though the spent shells could eject out of the open mag well, some generic shotguns operate that way.

Its all BS.. Its just belted ammo being held inplace for a photo shoot. Think about it.. A 308 AR15? If anything they would have made it with an AR10. Heres a real belt fed AR

Behold, In all it's glory my auto loading belt feed revolver!

Before you say a WORD, I will not post video of this in action as I have
a military contract and cannot divulge the intricate nature of the loading
and ejection of the rounds. pat. pend.

Here is the picture - that's proof enough.

I guess I never really thought about this one....After looking at my roommates 1911 i began to wonder.

How would the belt stay in place. It appears it would defy gravity when fired.

    Great idea none the less.

You know i would have to see it work to believe it. A SAW with a mag and yes there are belt fed AR type weapons that will except a belt but not in that configuration.. I would have to see it.........
