Just as an update... Expected maybe 20-25 for the class, ended up with 40, plus a waiting list... had to find more instructors/RO's based on the tremendous response... A LOT of interest... In addition to Women's CLass (which we will likely do again in the Spring based on the results of this one)
We are also looking at the possibility of bringing in other instructed classes for those that have been shooting for awhile... Thanks GOW for the post. I hope Mrs. Ghost enjoys the class and I will be looking forward to her feedback as well...

Definitely in the works as the Woman's Day last Saturday was a great success. We are also looking at other programs for the Spring including a more advanced "Carry" Program. As for Seminars we have been having informal ones being held after the regular meetings, which so far have included:

Use of Force, Disparity of Force and Legal Justification
Choice of Ammunition and perceptions in the Legal System.
(Next month) Range Officers and Match Directors Insurance coverage. (Presented by Anton Insurance Agency)

Other topics that have been discussed for the new Year.

    1. Getting the best edge on a knife.
    2. Reloading 101...
    3. Castle Doctrine and "Stand your Ground Laws"
    4. Privacy issues and the 4th Amendment
    5. Positive, and effective methods for dealing with the "anti-Gun"er. Winning the War, not the Argument.
    6. Gun handling is a perishable skill... Training options for the EDC gun owner...
    7. How to handle the Police Traffic Stop, when you are legally armed...

Maybe that will get some ideas going...We are open to others ideas, so go ahead and put them down. I would like to have a full list for all the meetings next year. Got a topic, go ahead and post it or PM me... The idea is to have some serious "take home value" to attending the monthly meetings and avoiding the trap of having them turn into B.S. session meetings. Get the "business" over quickly and get into something the members can use.... (It must have some value as the monthly meetings attendance is up over double what it was a year ago. but maybe that's just because now the business section is shorter. :)
