It is a good nontoxic cleaner and solvent. I like it on certain finishes because it doesn’t evaporate. It is also been safe on all finishes I’ve used on aluminum steel and plastic
Wood, leather, just about everything.Wood?
I know Bradis used to carry it. I think that's where I got mine. I'm sure it's available online too.Where is it available?
I use it work's good. If you have heavy copper fouling might need to use a copper remover. As for lead and carbon build up it work's good. It is CLP like. For protection on outer surfaces I switched to this it work's amazing. Is anybody using this for cleaning firearms?
I came across some....non aresol cans with trigger pump sprayers.
Is it good? Any complaints, praises, words of caution?
You can do your own talon like grips. Much cheaper and you have enough to use it many years or on many more firearms.I've used it for awhile now and once you get past the smell, it is overwhelming to me. It cleans and protects very well I have found. I bought the aerosol and the wiped on Amazon. The wipes are nice when your gun or knives or whatever is not really dirty but just in need of some protection. Yeah, Hickok45 was my gateway into Ballistol, along with Talon Grips. LOL
My local hardware store carries it basically same price as online maybe 50 cents higher. But it's 50 cents so I'll help my local store over Amazon or BrownellWhere is it available?
I always thought it smelled like really old swiss cheese. But yeah, it definitely takes some getting used to.If you can get by the smell the reviews say it works well. I bought some and couldn't get by the smell. I thought is smelled like cat urine, that was enough for me. The cat is long gone and I gave the Ballistol away.
