AR sight question

Any of you ever wish the 0-2 aperture was smaller? I prefer the long-range ap's size but I don't want to change the sight system as far as the way it affects elevation. I have considered J-B welding the hole closed and redrilling it, but I just feel I would chance ruining something. Any suggestions?

Replace the A2 aperture with an A1?

Use 20 coats of sight black... that oughta make it smaller.

Tech Sights sent me a new aperture insert set-up like their TSR100 uses (for the 10/22). Even if the elevation of the long-range ap isn't perfect, it will still suit me just fine. Thanks Tech Sights!!
