We're all fabulous and queer!
<-------Neither fabulous nor queer, just American and pissed.
Bars are GFZ's in FL, so I doubt anyone was carrying.

drunk people with guns is not the best scenario
I wouldn't blade the victims like that (I'm not saying it's what you're doing but it could sound like it).
For all we know some might had some heroic actions (jumping on the shooter, shielding others), you just can't say that entire group didn't fight back and blame them for that.
Some might even had been carrying (I think you can CC in Florida).
Even if you're armed you might not even have the time to react to someone walking in and blasting everybody in the room.

Shielding others is BS...........all that means is you take a couple before the one you were protecting takes a few.
Unless of course you know how much ammo the bad guy has and the order of targets.
I didn't know abou that.
And I was just saying that to mean we all stand with the victims, not meant as an offense.
I'm not American so I wasn't gonna say "We're all American".
And I'm sure you can still be fabulous without being queer.
It might not be the best thing to do, especially depending on distance from the shooter.
But it's certainly a noble and brave thing to do I think, regardless of the effectiveness of the techique.
I heard reports of teachers shielding their students during school mass shooting.
In some cases it even gave a few seconds to allow others to escape (especially kids in school).
1: Everyone at a club is not drunk.
2: Carrying a gun requires you to be more responsible. It has required me to make better decisions than I made before I carried.

...and don't forget all the designated drivers. A lot of less than savy folks might be surprised how many non-alcoholic drinks are served in bars.
What's the penalty for carrying in a Florida bar?
Not blaming the victims, but exasperated that more of these folks do not see the sense in arming themselves. Even armed, if it is your time, it is your time, but if I am armed, I am not forced to rely on good luck or the mercy of a madman.
I have always been perplexed that there is not near 100% support of 2a in the queer, black and jewish communities. If I had taken the **** the gay folks have or my kin had been loaded into cattle cars and exterminated or held in literal chains, owned, sold and worked like animals, I would sure as **** want my people armed.
That's the real tragedy here, isn't it?
liberty of what?...and drunk people being mowed down, helpless, is worse. How about LIBERTY first???

crowded drunks and low light sounds like a great place to bring a gunThat is a good point and I have been thinking about it tonight. I figure it this way.

yes lets only follow laws you agree withThere is no penalty if you don't get caught.

Don't know what the penalty for carrying is, but in this case, the penalty for not carrying was death. This ^^^

In a similar vein I see that Facebook is behind the curve on a flag filter that usually follows an episode of Islamic terrorism in the Western world. I wonder why that is?Political correctness strikes again:
