Anyone know when Crosley will re-open?

I spoke with them this morning and was told that it will be back open "real soon". This is a better reply than the "we don't know" that I got over the past months. The man I spoke with said all they had to do was finish putting down grass seed and straw.

Pop and I stopped out at Scott's in Vernon Monday and we're told 1 week would be optimistic, and 2 would be realistic.

For what it's worth...

Although the main DNR page lists Crosley as "Closed", the individual Crosley page no longer has a message at the top about the range being closed for repairs.

Interesting that they shortened their target range hours, but probably because it is manned by DNR staff now.

A friend said he heard an announcement on the radio yesterday (Thursday) saying that it would re-open today (Friday 08/22/14).

Through? No. Over? Probably. I don't think they replaced that bridge or anything. That old bridge is a bit scary to go over, especially in wide vehicles. My buddy drives a Tahoe and we usually go out there in that.

It's way easier to come in the back. Head south at the lawyer's office by the courthouse with the funny sign and hang a left down the road. There's a map on their webpage IIRC.

I am terrible at giving directions but I found these.

Take 31S then SR7S
Go through North Vernon
When you get to Vernon there is a curve to the left before the courthouse - Go right at the curve
Right at the first stop sign
Cross a bridge (non-scary)
Cross a second bridge (also non-scary)
Stay left at the Y in the road
Turn left on next road
Turn left at the stone pillars
Road turns to gravel, range is just ahead
