    That form I don't remember. Indiana had a three piece handgun purchase form, a white paperboard one that went to the state police, a pink paper one that was sent to the local police of the purchaser, and a yellow one retained by the seller.

    The whole thing faded out as it was not catching criminals, a monument to anti gun hysteria.
    This. Our local Sheriff dept would even mail the form back to you after they ran a check on you, I guess. Pre internet. Pre 4473 maybe? Been a long time ago.
