Anybody ever threaded their MN 91/30

Anybody ever threaded their MN 91/30 for a flash hider? If so did the barrel have to be turned down. Since it is a 7.62 round I'm thinking the 14x1 LH die set should do it.

Someone on this board has put a flash hider on a Mosin but I don't remember who it is. It looked really good too.

Yu should send 2cool9031 a message. He is awesome at customizing Mosins, I have seen/shot his rifles and he does great work!

Yup 2cool has got flash hiders on some of his Mosins, not sure how they are attached though

The flash hiders are attached with 4 set screws. Threading the barrel would be ok if you wanted to add a supressor, other than that it's just too much work for nothing.

The end of the Mosin barrel is .588 to .590 that is equal to 15mm. I am thinking that you wouldn't need to do any turning on the barrel.
You can buy 15mm x1 round dies from MSC, but all I have seen are right hand. Unless by threading it 14x1 you have a flash hider in mind.

! I know who could do it. I tried to order a 10"x 22" bench lathe Sunday...but the one I want is out of stock till sometime in August.

Thanks man, I think I'm going to say screw it (pun intended) at this point. The only reason I wanted to do it was because I picked up a 14x1 LH thread kit and was anxious to try it out. I was thinking the OD of the Mosin was the same as an AK.
