Anybody bought a gun in 2023?

....yeah, 1905 S&W in .38 spl....a DA backup to my 1901 Colt, which had been a less than reliable match pistol.....the 1901 has been rebuilt.....

I'd love something small that could handle hot 10mm!

Yeah, a 10 mm version of a mouse gun. That would be insane. Well, the closest to the CSX size is probably the Springfield XD-M® Elite 3.8″ Compact OSP™ 10mm Handgun.
It is about 0.65 inches longer, but same height. It also weighs a good bit more.

Ahh. My first two guns - Androcorp AR15 and a Sig P320 Compact. Chosen for modularity and I have fat hands.

The AR15 was my first gun, actually picked it up on my 20th birthday. P320 was my second, bought locally.

I grew up in a decent area, very close to one of the WORST places in Indiana. Teens were illegally carrying all the time, and when I went to college I had the freedom to legally arm myself and carry.

Do not regret the holes in my wallet.
