Anybody bought a gun in 2023?

I almost snagged a little baby browning 1911 in 22lr. If the barrel would have been threaded I would have had to have bought it. Nothing so far for me in 2023, though I have purchased some parts.

I picked up a Savage Axis in .308 with a decent scope, camo stock and sling. Looks unused and cost a whole $245.

I plan to sight it in and use it as a loaner to people who come over to shoot. No love or attachment just let them blast away...

At the gun show yesterday I saw one of the old Savage pistols with the metal grips in .32 and thought of you. I didn't buy it from the guy but he had a good price on it...

"recent?" That's more of a perpetual thing I think.

No, but not by choice. Had everything - price, time, and location - worked out with a seller here on INGO for his listed long gun, but he bailed the day before we were to meet up. Still kinda salty at that one, as it's a specific gun I've been hunting for for years.

End of the day, I didn't lose anything - just didn't gain what I wanted.
