I am currently restoring my first car. It's a 69 Firebird. I've had it since 1986 and I'm looking for a little advise on some machine shops around Indy that are good with Pontiac. The car is one of 2670 made and is original down to the lug nuts and I'm needed the #48 heads done right.
I have the car torn down at the moment going ground up and it's always nice to get a little advise.

I have a 69 Firebird also sitting in my garage in the middle of a resto as money/time allows.
Don't have any recommendations for machine shops as most of the work I have had done was out of state.
You can always ship Your heads to Butler performance or Kauffman racing equipment as far as head work goes for Pontiac's they are probably the 2 best in the Biz.

Butler does great work, that I know. I was just looking for local.
I'm in the same boat.....as money allows.
Sometimes I wish this wasn't such a rare Bird so I'd have it back on the road sooner. I'm doing this one right. If it was not for the production # I'd be doing everything myself and have it finished so much sooner.
Glad to hear you have one as well...maybe we can compare notes or help each other out with parts etc.

I'm more of a third gen fan myself (too much Knight rider when I was a kid I guess) but I would love to see pics of your project (hint hint). Any Bird is a good Bird.
