Another MRE question (or two)

I am kicking myself for not getting a case or two of the MRE's at the 1500, a guy had em for $5 each in case lots.... anybody know where I can get a deal like that now? PM me if you know where I can get or if you have any for sale.



Also, what is the difference between the Army issue/property units and the civilian packaged meals that you see for sale on the web?

Well, thanks...but I know how to find them on line, hell Ebay has em in large numbers (cheaper), but I would rather not pay the shipping if I can get some locally and support a local business. I went to a few surplus stores and they had em for $8 each, thats "Carmel" sporting goods store pricing.

nyle at traildust in bloomington gets them sporadically these days but he sells them for $6

Nyle is rather hit or miss. The best bet is to probably leave him your name and number and ask him to call you when they get 'em in. More often then not, he has none, or only ones that I don't like.

sarges in rushville has a bin full of them. you get to dig around in them and pick which one you want.i had to dig to the bottom to find my cajun rice and beans with sausage.

I just want to get some for motorcycle camping trips. If I go to a rally and wana eat without spending $11 for salmonella I can eat an MRI.

Great for emergency's also.
