I was lucky enough to win a raffled off Aero Solus in .308. I, along with everyone else that bought a ticket at the event, was able to shoot this same rifle at Dead Zero Shooting Park in TN. The gal shooting before me put multiple rounds into .6 MOA at 1000 yds. I only managed 1 MOA groups at 1000 yds.

The ammo used at the event was bulk brown boxed M118. It didn't say M118LR anywhere on the box that I could see.

From my ammo stash, it doesn't seem to matter what I feed it. It's consistently ~1 MOA.
What other factory loads under ~$1.70/rnd, are capable of sub MOA?
Is 1 MOA just pretty typical for a 308? My M1A does about the same.
I am not ready to start hand loading for this gun.

Federal GMM 168 gr seems to be able to do .7 MOA sometimes.
Federal GMM 175 gr, not as good @ ~1 MOA.
Hornady ELDM 168 is also ~1 MOA.
PPU Matchline (gold box) 168, just over 1 MOA.
PPU Match (blue box) HP BT 168, a bit worse.
MEN 308 is a bit under 1 MOA but I can't find that stuff anywhere anymore.
I have some CBC Sniper but haven't tried it yet.

Geez, I just found this old article and now I'm embarrassed. Some of these loads shot fantastic groups.

How do ya like the rifle? Looked at them and price does scare me off a bit.

Maybe its just that particular gun. I've got a Bergara HMR in 308 and I've seen other people shoot .5" groups at 100 with it with all sorts of ammo. My particular gun just doesn't shoot that well. It's also a 1 MOA or a touch more kind of gun. I've used factory ammo from 150gr to 175gr in match and ball variets and it all shoots 1 MOAish. I've also handloaded for my gun in 168gr and 175gr varietys and I just can't get it much under 1MOA.

Just might be the gun :dunno:

If I hadn't seen that girl shoot 6" groups at 1000 yards right before I shot, I'd think it was the indian & not the bow & arrows. LOL
