I took on a 9mm 2011 build and thought I would share some of the process. Forgive my feeble attempts at video. Hopefully I will get better over time and become a TikTok Sensation......

    Main Features:
    Cheely Custom Gunworks Frame
    Warwick Tactical Slide
Jarvis 4.5" Custom length 9mm bull barrel.
    EGW Ignition
    Trijicon 1911 RMR Mount
And hopefully some nice cosmetics when done
    Aftec Extractor

I will be cutting the slide to match the barrel length, also customer wants the gun to be under 2 lbs when complete. That shouldn't be an issue

Measuring/ comparing. the fixture allows me to measure the inside dimension of the slide

Trimmed the frame to width on the mill. Bottom of the slide was only oversized by .0015 So it was hand stoned to size on a fixture

Once hood width is cut time to trim length.

Shorten Slide. The recoil plug helps me know I have not went to far. Everything will be trimmed and smoothed to a flush fit when complete

Allen - do you know about and do you perform the Marvel disconnector ramp cuts on the 1911s / 2011s that you build.

I know that many custom builders do. Just wondering.

Oh how I want a high quality double-stack "2011" gun. *sigh*
