This is coming along, I got a little farther.
Last Saturday I worked on it a lot but wasn't happy with the overall effect so I didn't post pics until I came up with a way to make it look better :)

I cut the serrations and porting and decided to run the serrations through the frame as well, being a wide body frame I didn't realize how much real estate there would be and it just looked bulky to me.

Here are some pics none the less.

I opted to cut a couple panels first

The serrations, I was pretty un happy with this at first, just because of the bulkiness

ports being cut, you have to bear with it for 20 seconds before actual porting

I decided to 45 the the bottom corners of the frame and remove some of the frame serration length. This helps a bunch and I feel pretty good with the effect. looks more balanced

This is the last major machine work operation before a lot of tedious hand blending and shaping.

    Slide top serrations

So the to of the slide isn't parallel with the slide rails. without shifting my vise around to make it parallel I have this handy digital probe that will measure the angle then I can program it into the mill and it will compensate for the angle

And took it for a test drive today. Ran like a champ no malfunction, accurate nice shooter. I am thinking of adding a window behind the serrations to fill in the empty space and have to decide on paint
Also have a smaller magwell coming
