Our April weekend match is almost here. Sat April 8, registration until 10:30, Shooters meeting at 10:45. shooting begins at 11 am. Format will be "20 Straight" and is the most straightforward of the 3 formats we rotate. Great match to get your toes wet for those new to long range rimfire. This is a 60 round match with 20 shots at each of 3 distances. We consolidated a couple skill classes for this format, Standard and Master class will shoot at 110, 165, and 200 yards. High Master class will have targets at 240y.
This is a steel target event, scored hit or miss. Targets are 2-3 MOA. At each distance the shooter will have 2 minutes for some quick sighter shots, then 8 more minutes for their 20 shot string. Bipod on the front, rear of gun must be shouldered without artificial support, similar to what you would experience on a prairie dog or varmint hunt. No slings, fancy jackets, etc. We encourage prone shooting but allow from the bench (mostly us geriatric folks).
Entry fee is $15, Stand alone juniors are $10, Juniors with paid adult are free. Pop and water for sale in the clubhouse. Match runs about 3 hours depending on attendance.
Hope to see you there!!
