    Income tax credit for firearms safety expenses. Provides a state income tax credit for expenses incurred to receive qualified firearms instruction or to purchase a qualified firearms storage device. Provides that the tax credit is equal to the amount of the incurred expenses. Provides that the maximum amount allowed as a tax credit is $300 for individuals filing single returns or $600 for married couples filing joint returns. Provides that a tax credit may not exceed the taxpayer's state income tax liability. Provides that a taxpayer is not entitled to a carryover, carryback, or refund of any unused tax credit.

    I called both House Committee chairs yesterday. Spoke with Alissa (Rep McNamara) and Josh (Rep Thompson.) Both were very nice as was the lady who has transfered me numerous times.

    Be polite, be professional. The more people who see we aren't as we are often portrayed the better.

    For those of you following the SB 77/Throwing Stars...

    Looking at some of the names on the bill... it's hard for me to not be against it. The ONE no vote on the floor? Mike Bohacek (RINO from up north. Got butt-hurt at me last year in the Senate hearing on ConC when I mentioned dead people voting in Chicago. My reply was, "Vote early, vote often.") Crap! Now I want to be both for it and against it.
