Of course he doesn't know what a 4473 is.
Dang anti-gunners don't know what they're talking about at least 90 percent of the time.

Good on Rick Meyer. Shot, and still doesn't blame the gun.

Thank you for the notes Kelly. That is very interesting.

I didnt see anywhere that you specifically had a note about any of the Police Chiefs being asked about officer safety (or maybe I missed it). Although Lucas is sort of asking the question when he asked them about felons carrying firearms.

Specifically, did anyone ask the Police Chiefs is there any situation when the police engage the public that they are trained to assume a person isn't armed?

The reason I ask this is because that has always been one of the arguments in the past from the aunties which is a baseless arguemnt that CC makes officers less safe.

Edit: Nevermind, I watched some of the video and I see the police (particularly the sheriffs) are now addressing these arguments when they speak. So there was no need to ask the question.

Also, it seems the aunties aren't making it one of their talking points anymore, with exception to the FOP guy that made the claim of officer safety without backing it up.

If I think about it later I’ll take a picture of my notes and post them. When I say Hieroglyphic like, I really mean it.

Received a reply from my Representative.

Glad to see she appears to be what I voted for.

    "Dear J,

Please know that I am a firm believer in the Second Amendment and fully support our constitutional rights. I too believe that every Hoosier in our community has the right to self-defense without government bureaucracy getting in the way. In fact, I have supported many measures in the past that have cut red tape and sped up the gun licensure process. Now, we must go a step further and vote to enact House Bill 1369.

Thank you for reaching out to me about this topic. It is great to hear from those in our community, as it allows me to get a grasp on how our district feels towards critical issues. If I can be of assistance in the future, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

    Sincerely,
    Donna Schaibley
    State Representative
    House District 24"

Alert!! The link below is is to the Public Policy Committee. HB 1369 is up again in committee 1130 on 15 Feb (Presidents Day for those of you who get that Holiday.) I look for it to be amend and vote since the testimony was last Wednesday and it was getting late by the time all the testimony was done.

There is a "watch live" button when you open the 15 Feb drop-down thingee.

Cross-posted to the HB 1369 thread.

Can't remember if I did this up thread or last year or in another thread. I need to send a shout-out to BrotherBill3 and Bill of Rights for starting me down this road. They both testified in 2017 for ConC at the first committee hearing I ever attended. Combine that with me really needing a hobby and here we are!

Watched this one can’t wait for more , if you have any. Thx Kelly http://iga.in.gov/information/archives/2021/video/committee_public_policy_1600/
I'm hoping they get the rest of the video up, there is quite a bit missing including Tamara Watson's testimony. The more I think about it the more it seems she really set the tone for the hearing when she went straight at ISP Superintendent Doug Carter. In baseball-speak it was up and in with a 98 mph fastball.

I think all who spoke in support really did great. Was great to hear them all say they was in support . The first sheriff was heart touching.
