I worked on everything in the gun except the sights. I wanted a gold bead front sight that was staked and not dovetailed. The gun can be put back to original condition with all the original parts.

Its a 2011 but man she is a sweet heart.
From the shop of my favorite guy AllenM.

2011 in .357 Sig. This frame will also hold the 10mm I so love and we have a barrel in the mail as I type. This will be multi-caliber.

Wondered who was going to buy that one.... Allen's quality craftsmanship at its best. How do you like that grip texture?

I was wondering people's opinion on the 1911 platform in 40 S&W? I had heard it was a difficult caliber to "get right" on the platform, but I suppose 9mm is not that easy either. I bought one myself (used), hoping to try it for the first time today, time permitting. I broke it down completely for deep cleaning. See below:

Thought I would share this build I finished up awhile back here. Its a 40 put together for uspsa limited or the occasional steel challenge match. I would also like to give a big thanks to AllenM for all his great help on my way through the build.

I've only ever put together on 1911 in .40 but I don't remember any issues, with a WC Supergrade i'm sure you'll be fine!
