But this is too important.
This movie is an hour and a half, but well worth the watch. I am not done watching it yet since my children keep bugging me. But it seems way too important to not watch it or share it. I will say this, though. I am beyond furious.

In another message board, I have found myself in a debate over firearms in general and firearms for home protection specifically. Hopolophobia abounds and while looking for educational clips, I came across this. While they would not appreciate the humor in it, it was just too funny to not...
My MIL is in a nursing home and on a thickened/pureed diet.
All liquids have to be thickened (including water) and all solids have to be pureed.
She doens't have a lot of time left so whatever she wants, she gets.
She had pureed bacon today.
With all the conflicting parenting advice out there, it’s difficult to know whether you’re a good parent or a bad parent. Take this handy quiz to find out once and for all.
Keep track of your answers on a post-it and total your score at the end. Won’t it be a relief to know whether or not...
I have a new "home" for blogging. I got tired of livejournal throwing a temper tantrum anytime I wanted to post something that is longer that three paragraphs.
Hoppes Homestead Learning Academy
I hope you all enjoy.
Now off to fix my signature.
I finally caught my tail firmly between my teeth.
My MIL is in a nursing home for rehab. The homeschool meeting has come and gone. The homeschool schedule is working well. Both girls have pneumonia. After going to the hospital every single day for over a week to take care of MIL, and come...

George is going to be starting the truck every hour or so because of it being a diesel.
At least the truck seats are heated.
I would love to say that I am having a nice, enjoyable time watching TV, reading a book, doing some housework projects, or even zoning in front of the computer for hours at a time.
Instead, I am running to sit on the toilet with a bowl on my lap every 5 minutes.
The children are long since asleep. Dinner dishes are done and kitchen is picked up. Breakfast is in the crockpot. I've showered. The house is quiet. (With the exception of Mr. laughing at something on his computer.)
Is there an asteroid coming? An alien invasion? Not only are all the...
At the top of the screen, there is a little message to me. It states
As a matter of fact, some of the keys are quite sticky since my children (well, one particular child) dumped coffee on my keyboard and my lap the other day.
In light of my husband's thread (and the resultant brain scrubbing to get rid of some mental images that ensued) I have a carry question.
I wear dresses and skirts. I don't even own a pair of pants. Some of my skirts are easy enough to carry on the hip. But what about dresses? I'm looking...
My son (age 6) is left handed. How much of a problem could that be when learning to aim and shoot?
I know it has created more than one head-ache when learning to write.
I received an e-mail today (and although it was technically directed to the whole group, it was specifically to my husband) about the library and carrying.
Husband and I both looked for signs saying no firearms and did not see any. I could not find any rules on their website. Yet, in the...
I'm all for it! How about breakfast at the old American Legion on the corner of 3rd and Maple? (Valley Grill)
That's where all the officers go for breakfast. ;)
