how many cops do you know personally? Any that would actually care, outside their patrol area and on their day off? And even if they did, they couldn’t do anything actionable anyways.

This was a really good match, and not that bad of a drive from FtW. I cut 20mins off Google's time.

      Warrior poet on Appendix carry.

Appendix carry wards off 2 types of people. People who are round shaped (barreled chested) as apposed to oval shaped. When your body has more of a constant curve, AIWB is no more concealable and usually less comfortable. and people with bad gun handling.

Concealed Carry type course in FtW area

Well I have a couple friends who've taken Tom's instructor course, but is his normal course one for the previously untrained?

Concealed Carry type course in FtW area

Brief as possible, I haven't lived in IN for years now but had a brother finally decide to start carrying. He wants to get training for all the prudent reasons. I recommended Jeff Ott as now that I've been in the game for a while, I now realize how good of a 1st course that one I attended...

      Effective Instructor: "Combat" Experience Required?

I think this thread really started with the wrong question. Of course experience isn't required. However, is it a asset? Yes. Is teaching ability required? No, as there are people out there teaching who don't have it. Is it preferred over experience? I hope so .The word required implies a...

      Effective Instructor: "Combat" Experience Required?

What you basically said was "avoid confrontation". This is a given.

I love the butthurt in this thread

      Effective Instructor: "Combat" Experience Required?

It's only a limit when wrongly being criticized by someone without any kind of actual experience. What are interviews about shootings, dash cam,"after action reports" but people getting experience the hard way? The instructor who has experience can share the same collective knowledge as the guy...

      Effective Instructor: "Combat" Experience Required?

Because the non-experienced ones might have some info picked up from experienced people, that dosent mean that they got complete info that was put into the right context. You don't see the value of being able to speak from experience?(THIS IS JUST A EXAMPLE) What if a student wants to know how...

      Effective Instructor: "Combat" Experience Required?

Is is "required" or absolutely needed? Of course not. Is it preferred? Yes, experience matters. Every piece of the game matters. People who don't have anything try to downplay this. There are a good amount people out there who have everything. Experience, training, performance and the...

James Yeager interview in Concealed Carry Mag

Getting training is great. Training is really good when it comes from a skilled and legally credible instructor. You know, like someone who goes ranting online about killing people and get his pee pee slapped by a judge.

Simplicity of method: thoughts from Gabe Suarez

Contrast this with someone like Kyle Defoor, who states that "we" must always be the "feeder" all the time, even when reacting to a future"reciever".

Kyle Defoor - Stretch your pistols (and some downrange videography)

Kyle uses his sights, a Glock brand 3.5lb connector, his stippling, and for some guns(the ones he literally shot the rifling out of), a drop in match barrel. So yes, it's a stock glock trigger .It's still a plastic lawn mower gun with a safe action trigger. That's all skill.

      Marines introductory combat pistol training

Actually, outside of of High Risk Personnel course(of which .000000000000000000000001 of the cream corn actually attends if it still exists) and the stuff 0372's do, that is pretty much it. The only active duty guy's that ever really seemed to have any skill with a pistol outside of those who...

Here's some more brilliance  <em>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiXxZqiJZac&amp;feature=player_embedded Hopefully the 3 gun team can un**** a lot of the marksmanship program, but I doubt it.
