Several years ago I used a gentleman who held a FFL and lived in a subdivision near East 116th Street and Brooks School Road in Fishers Indiana, Forgot the name of the subdivision to the northwest of 116th and Brooks School Road.. It was probably Meadowbrook Village. Anyone have his contact info?

anyone have the contact info for Richard Purvis (Richard's Guns) who I believe holds a FFL and was an INGO Member?

I'm not able to help with the specific contacts you're looking for, but another option might be Indiana Gun Club. They're off 113th street east of Olio Rd.

I believe Mr. Purvis may have passed away several years ago. I did do a transfer with Richard, nice to deal with. If I remember correctly he collected old pump action .22 rifles.

Thanks to the OP for checking with home-FFLs ahead of time.

For those new to working with home FFLs…call ahead first before assuming the FFL will transfer for you. Talk with them, don’t just leave a voicemail or text and assume they’re going to transfer.

As an FFL, I don’t want to have to refuse someone’s firearm who doesn’t let me know due to a multitude of reasons on the buyer’s behalf, but trying to time the delivery and run home from my day-job is frustrating for someone that won’t do the home-FFL the courtesy of checking before hand.

Call, verify, and be ready for a ‘no’ answer. Not all home-FFLs want to do at home transfers. Some might just want to do business online, or manufacture/prototype.

+1 for Indiana Gun Club. They’re always efficient and have fair prices. Plus you can shoot a round while you’re there.

Be careful with that one. They have a fairly unique policy. If they sell what you want to transfer, the transfer fee is like $50. If they dont sell what you are wanting to transfer, its only $25. The actual numbers may have changed, but you get the picture.

They dont want folks using them to buy online when they could have bought from them. But they are happy to transfer used stuff, and stuff they cant get for a good price.

Yeah it's $50 for a transfer if it's something they have in stock. But anything not in stock is only $25.
