I was just given a little jewel, I think, but it's hard fir me to tell.
I was presented with a receiver and fore end for a double barrel 12 gauge with exposed hammers and double triggers.
    The receiver is marked,
    Palmetto Arms
    Philadelphia, PA.
No other markings except the serial number.
It is stamped on the inside of the receiver and matching numbers on the fore end.

From the little searching I've done, I see this was made by one of 4 different possible makers.
I was hoping someone here can tell me which maker, or point me to a source.
I need a set of barrels for this.
The old barrels were evidently destroyed. 20240327_174036.jpg 20240327_174025.jpg

O.k.why did those turn upsidedown?upside down?

It is not a percussion gun.
It does have firing pins, and they work.

    In the corn and beans
Was it always a hand gun or has it been cut down? Is it a maker or a hardwear store brand?

I think I have a set of bbls out on top of my tool box. It may be a single, I honestly can’t remember. I’ll look this eve when I take the dogs out.

I think it was probably cut down.
The person that gave it to me said the barrels were WAY too short ( to be legal) when he acquired it so he removed the barrels and disposed of them.

I’ll look in the small barn when I go out. I do remember that the bbl. or bbls have circular metal indicating demascus twist bbls or bbl. Just can’t remember if double or single.

Yep, double bbl. But I don’t see the twist, I’m sure this is Damascus. There are words on the bbl but I don’t want to do anything if it usable to you. You can have it if you think you can use it.
