Seems like there's a fair amount of prejudgment of the "rest of the story" going on.

First, let's find out what the warrant was based upon, what went on before the shooting and where everyone was when the shooting started, then go from there.
While you’re not wrong, most of the prejudgement is just assuming the pattern our fed friends have set will continue. Why bet against a streak?

Yeah, a no knock at that hour against a gun guy is asking for a murder. Or murders in this case.

As others have said, Wait for him to go to work and execute it there. Or pull him over.
He's away from home and his big guns.
He cant destroy evidence because he's not there to do so. Which would be one explanation for a no knock.

And by the side of the road or in his office parking lot, you dont have to worry about hurting his wife or kids.

I'd rather they continue the process, less ATF agents is better for everyone.

They should be disarmed and encouraged to do no knock raids in the inner city.

They decided to take a job that involves revoking basic civil rights of American citizens, they accepted the consequences of their actions.

What are the chances we never see the warrant, the videos and body-cams aren't released, and we never get more than a talking head telling us how this fellow was really evil, just like Ashley Babbitt, and needed to be shot.

I fully expect this story to get buried over the coming days.

This whole thing is sad, and uncalled for.
Who at the ATF that this was a good idea?
Just imagine if Chitwood (AKA Gary Busey on meth) had gotten confirmed. Then again, this Dettelbach guy is just a more socially acceptable version of Gary Busey on meth.

near Bedford on a whole lot of land.
Welcome to Biden’s America and ATF.

Oh yeah, and **** you, Senator Todd Young.

The guy they raided does look like a real scumbag, though…
I know it’s all fashionable to hate on Biden, but ATF is a EOE. Who was prez during Ruby Ridge?

There ain’t an administration that wants to protect 2A rights.

I wonder if the warrants were unsigned, to be made up after the fact, based upon "evidence" planted by the ATF? (life imitates fiction, Unintended Consequences?)

The precedent from this "case" is likely intended to help buttress the ATF's new definition of "in the business".
and if your victim.... I mean "suspect" can't defend himself in court all the better.

Having an ATF is like having a sledge hammer to fix a headache. If that is what you have to use, the outcome will be the same no matter who yields it.

The answer is to get rid of the hammer...

So you're telling me that this administration is no worse than, say.... Reagan? Or Either Bush? Or even Trump? They aren't directing these sorts of actions in any way whatsoever?

If you believe that, I got some ocean front Property in Colorado I'd like to sell you.

Dude works in a GFZ, just go to his office and hand him a warrant.
    ^^^ This.

SWAT style raids are probably unnecessary about 90% of the time they are used. Many times they have the potential to make the situation much more dangerous. 50 or 60 years ago people would be appalled at the tactics used by law enforcement today.

The failed war on drugs made the militarization of law enforcement possible.
