I was able to fill a hole in my Knife/Bayonet collection. It turns out Eickhorn in Germany did a short run of M3 Knives in the 80s.

Info is limited on these. There aren't technically USGI, but. They are M3 Knives. Story is the US Ordinance Corps handed over the TDP drawings for a bunch of US Issue items, so Eickhorn in Germany could make them. Included was the dimensions for the obsolete M3 knife. Eickhorn in Germany was given the info to make a run of M7 Bayonets. But when they saw the M3 drawings, they decided to make a few of those too. Only one thing they did, is the guard is upside down. I guess they didn't get the documents about how they were supposed to go together. They also revised the handles to modern plastic.

While available to commercial purchase to servicemen of the various Nato armies.. they were often sold by Eickhorn for export contracts.
They are rather uncommon to run across in today's surplus market.

Now I just need an M2 Flick knife, and M5 (not A1) bayonet.

    From left to right.
M1 Bayonet and M7 scabbard for the M1 (and 1903) rifle
    M3 Knife with M10 Scabbard
M4 Bayonet with M8A1 scabbard for the M1 Carbine
M5A1 Bayonet with M8A1 scabbard for the M1 Rifle
M6 Bayonet with M10 scabbard for the M14 Rifle
M7 bayonet with M10 scabbard for the M16 series (also fits the M4 carbine and a load of other things)
M9 Bayonet with matching scabbard and pouch for the M16 series (also fits the M4 carbine and a load of other things)
