Firstly, for the 10th time, i have never been banned or suspended here… just like with nascar, another example of you thinking you know everything and opening your mouth proving you dont know anything.
Secondly, what do you call what you just posted? A personal attack? So, ANOTHER example of you thinking its ok when you do it but being critical when others do. You literally just said the mods arent doing their job because they allow JC to make a post that you feel insulted by, and then you do the same thing you accuse him of doing.

The 2023 thread was people having discussions about Nascar, which is what the thread is about. A nascar thread doesnt have to be race results and schedules. People are entitled to post their opinions. No arguing began until you started posting in the thread and calling names and arguing with people.
And when you make a claim like “the moderation allows it to happen” is calling out the mods. Youre basically claiming they arent doing a good job by making that statement, which is bs and insulting. Its volunteer work, they dont get paid to come monitor the nascar thread and kick people because a member is crying that someone isnt repeating i love nascar over and over.
It would be nice if people could discuss nascar and give their opinions without you replying to every single post telling them their opinion is wrong and why, then personally attacking them for the crime of not loving the sport. 95% of the arguing in the last 2 nascar threads wouldnt happen if you wouldnt attack every person that says they dont like the sport.

I wish I could find the interview. It was on Dale Jr download I believe. They were discussing how easy the cars now drive, how the sanctioning body only allows a limited amount of wind tunnel tests and on track testing is a thing of the past.
I believe if Nascar wants to increase viewership and fans, they need to listen to the drivers. Even when the cars were harder to drive the drivers enjoyed racing them more, it created more excitement for the fans, and the sport made more money.

Hearing the stories from guys like junior johnson and smokey yunick about how they bent the rulebook and the ways they would “cheat” was depressing. Nascar will never have that type of creativity again. That was the reason a lot of gearheads loved the sport so much, and now the sport is revolved around spoiled rich kids that were born with a silver spoon.
Last year was the lowest tv ratings ever. Down 5% from 2022. This year they are “up” from last, which shouldnt be that difficult seeing as last season was the lowest ever. There is obviously a problem, and the curreny fanbase may still enjoy the product but need to accept it is hurting so it can be fixed.
Will it ever die and go away? Doubtful. But it isnt even in the conversation when it comes to the top sport anymore.

The night race in August used to have to order a season ahead of schedule, and even then sometimes you couldnt get them.
Bristol was one of my favorite tracks, then they started adding PJ1 to make the racing 2 grooves and it ruined it.
I dont even like any of the current drivers. Larson is about the only one I consider to have any actual talent
Totally agree.
Not only did they ruin the car, this group of drivers just suck. Other than Larson I could give two ****s about the rest of them and even he is a stretch. They are clean cut, cardboard cut out, pitchmen in a drivers suit. I wonder how many know the difference between a lug nut and a cam shaft.
