Buy it. Leave in trunk or behind seat of truck. Wait 'til she be nappin' or before she's up in the mornin' and quietly bring in the house and put up. Down the road when she sees it and asks about it. just say oh I've had that for a long time it's not new......

Beer...Everything can be validated by way of beer. Buy this and then buy less beer. That one is running dry though. I quit drinking beer about 5 years ago....

Most of the time I just get what I want and then show her what new things she can shoot before we head to the range. Or I just have a custom 2011 built for her and she gets to pick the color and holster.

Twice, I've picked up an inexpensive, used pistol, only to have the wife see it, shoot it, and claim it as her own!
On both occasions, my response has been, 'Well...as long as I can get something to replace it?'
To which she replies, 'Okay!' Great way to get something a little out of budget w/o any issues! :)
But, then again, our first Christmas married, she got me an ankle holster for a Glock 33...keeper!

    Near the big river.
My wife is very tolerant even encouraging gun purchases. I use a don't ask/don't tell policy though.

True story: Yesterday at breakfast she picked up a pile of mail to sort thru and there was a $1500 receipt for a recent gun I bought. I honestly thought I had dealt properly with it a month ago........
She asked what the he** we bought for that much money then looked at the header which had a gun shop logo. Handed it to me with a raised eye brow and I had to explain it. She shrugged and moved on......:ugh:
