4 more days is how long I can use hwy 32 near me.

After the fourth of March they are replacing a bridge and it will be just closed. Yay.

It will take me probably 30-40 extra minutes to get to Turkey run or Shades. sigh.

Don’t understand why they can’t pre fab the smaller bridges ahead of time, demo and prep the old, drop in the new. Be done in a week or two.

They can. Problem is that typically when it gets to a point that the superstructure has to be replaced, the substructure needs a lot of work as well. Additionally, the bridge on Wisconsin is getting raised and I believe lengthened as well. Those two reconfigurations make the existing substructure inadequate, so it must be rebuilt.

If we did not need to grovel to the Federal government for hwy funds...well maybe it would be. In 2020 Indiana used the least federal funds of any state, accepting just 1% of funds offered(all for I69). 2024 we are accepting much more. Toss in an executive order and well no one wants to reduce costs, especially labor cost.

Roundabouts are more convenient than a stop sign or a light when used properly. The worst thing about them is people who are unsure of how to use them. There is a new roundabout on 231 in front of the new CP Franciscan hospital, and there were so many people in the CP Facebook groups saying "What if there is an emergency? How will we get to the hospital now?" I said "You will look to your left and if there is no one coming, turn right." It's SO complicated....

I decided to get a premium membership at Range USA. It seems like a good deal at $49 a month, shoot free as much
as you want and free rentals come with it. The heat works too.
Tried an HK VP9, FN 509 and Sig 226. Man, can I shoot that Sig but the price. :tantrum: Seen some police trade ins for half the cost of new though.

    Yep.

I biggest critique is that they make many of them too small. Of course, some of that is trying to fit them into areas where they were not designed to be.

Valparaiso has there share of roundabouts. I hate em, peoples driving habits these days suck. Now throw a roundabout into the mix.

The diameter to the traffic circle is determined by the traffic volume and the desired speed entering and transiting the circle. People have difficulty evaluating the speed and distance of oncoming traffic. The speed is intentionally kept low in order to reduce that challenge. But, it's still a challenge for a lot of drivers. It's hard enough on straight sections with a cross and T intersection, then toss a circle in and look out.

Maybe to the Vet's office too
I called, was actually able to speak with a nice vet. She asked me three questions.
    1. Does the diarrhea have blood in it, or is it black? No
    2. Is the dog lethargic? No
    3. Is she also vomiting? No

She told me to watch the dog and bring her in if any of that changes. Also to make sure she has plenty of water so she does not get dehydrated. Toss the food in bowl. Don't feed her till tomorrow morning. Open up a fresh bag of her normal food.

We will see how she is doing tomorrow. She is sleeping next to me right now. Has not needed to go out for the last hour. I suspect that Liz left out some food where Ginger could get it when she fell asleep watching TV last night. I however can't prove it, and Liz doesn't think she did. I've never seen Ginger as miserable as she was this morning though.
