Bought 15-15-15 and grass seed for the neighbor and myself. Then went and picked up the wife's Explorer. She's happy and I'm done writing checks today. Next comes the BMV because it's inevitable and I want that chore off my plate. Had Easter dinner at my parents with 6 adults and 3 kids. Easter bunny should be on the way soon.
Well, I lied. Just ordered her a safe and chose the FedEx 2 Day free delivery.

Less and less people know how to do anything anymore
    I fixed it :dunno:

my dad always told us while he was showing us how to do something.. there are people in this world that don’t know what end of the hammer to use…. Always seemed stupid and unbelievable. My brother handed his brother inlaw a drill while assembling a piece of furniture…… the brother in law applying no pressure at all just stripped screw and bit in about 1 second of wide open power. Having no idea how to use a drill.

It is amazing how little people know how to do.

I hate plumbing but can manage the basics. Drywall. Electrical. Paint a room or a house. Rough and finish carpentry. Change a tire. Replace a headlight, battery, fuel filter, belts (maybe not a serpentine type) etc. Bleed the air from diesel injectors. Yup, yup, yup and yup on all the above.

I've seen people who can't use a paint roller!

    WTF?

Exactly, I don’t claim to be a professional. And not saying any of those jobs are EASY (to do right) but can muddle my way through the basics also. I try to Know a little about a lot of things. (Sometimes just enough to get myself in trouble)

I don't do car stuff, although I could change a tire as long as the lug nuts were not on tooooo tight. I've also done basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical. When I was young, it was because we could barely afford anything but basic needs. As I got older, it was out of frugality and because I enjoyed it. Now, I'm just too old and sore and tired for most of it unless it needs done right now.

Don’t remind me of how worthless I felt when wife was driving me home from ER on 94 when she had a blowout. Went to the back and found out they didn’t put spares as a necessity on her minivan. Just a little air compressor and some fix a flat. AND it was on Sunday so the junkyard was closed and I couldn’t go hunting for one. Had it towed to home. Next day, tire off and drove to Belle tire for a new one. Then came home, installed and went back for the other 3.
That is becoming more common all the time. The last four cars I've bought did not have spare tires in them.

She is making slow, painful progress. No PT on the weekends, so she has been in bed because the nurses/aides are stretched too thin to spare two of them to help her get up. PT again tomorrow and for a full 5 days, so hopefully she will make big progress this week.

    Saves the manufacturer money.
Plus the newer generation don't know how to change a tire so why bother giving them one when they will just call a service to fix it.

The few that do want a spare can just buy it as an add-on.

    Griffith Airport Fire update.

Gonna be another 2 weeks before fire Marshall released preliminary report.

One classic corvette and an antique Mercedes destroyed. A tesla would have been destroyed as well but the owner was able to move it remotely to avoid damage.

    Airport is still operational.
