Well, I would say it would be the new Neighbor who just moved out to the country. I own 56 acres, they bought the adjoining 10. Imagine how angry they were when their golden doodle and miniature schnauzer (that never leave their property) got caught in leg hold coyote traps last season! The gall of me to let someone trap predators on my property without telling them! And would I kindly pay the emergency vet bills for their dogs that were trespassing on my property.
Now I’m trying to be a good neighbor, but……hell no! Move your city ass back where you came from. Be responsible for your own dogs. And for the record, the dogs were not hurt by the traps except for they cut their gums trying to chew their way free. Go away Karen!

Wearing a mask for your health and safety is never an issue. Problems arise when the expectations is that others should wear them for your health. Not point this at you, but for the ones that we know are out there expecting us to do it for them.

There are Karens who will mock you for wearing one as there are/were those who would get mad because you aren't/weren't. I have an autistic daughter, non verbal and mostly oblivious to anyone's body language or words, but otherwise looks like any other young adult. She had to wear a mask in order to continue her therapy and continues to wear one, because that became the routine. Autistic kids are all about routine. We go out somewhere to dinner every Wednesday. At least once/month, probably twice, some numbnut Karen says something derogatory about wearing the mask. The young lady is minding her own business, just happy to be out with dad and doesn't understand what's being directed at her, but I do. It's all I can do sometimes to keep my mouth shut and just direct her away from it. It's men and women too.

People need to mind their own business and let other people live their lives.

I take it you don't have any serious illnesses. I have leukemia (in remission now) and have a terrible immune system. When I started wearing a mask for covid I realized I wasn't getting sick with colds, pneumonia, bronchitis, pink eye, etc. anymore. So I will be wearing a mask when out in public likely for the rest of my life. Don't be so quick to judge others decisions.

We are all glad it helps you, but you are the exception, not the rule…

Work done by the homeowner or unpaid individuals is exempt from building code/permit requirements. Work done for pay, nope. I also think septic construction does not fall under the exception, that is a separate court ruling that I'd have to look for.

Thanks, but I didn't post it to garner any sympathy. People butting into other people's lives has been going on way before there were people bitching about masks. Plenty of people just can't keep their noses out of other people's business. We used to mock them.

I am aware of that.

But (and correct me if I'm wrong) that would involve particles from an infected person landing in the recipient's eye. So if masks are considered an effective barrier against parties containing viruses/bacteria, then I can see how you would conclude that wearing one would make it less likely for you to give pink eye to another person, just not how it would protect you from getting it from someone else.

It is my understanding that its more likely getting the stuff on your hands and then touching your face/eyes. In today's environment of more handwashing, I think that has a lot to do with it.

You know the ones that most everything is an affront to them and their religion. She told me to take the flag down because it offended her. My response was less than a warm heart felt retort. I said Karen its not going to happen today or in your life time and if you touch it I’ll twist your arms off at the cu.. and if it bothers you so you should pack your bags and move over there. Problem solved run the dog bi... back in her house. Not so say I. Sometime later that day Union Stewart and relief showed up on job and said I had a meeting with the EOC Nazi commander. He introduced himself and said we had a problem that needed to be resolved and I agreed and asked what the crisis was and I’ll try to be of hep. He said well why don’t you tell me your version of what happened. I informed him I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. At that point he was starting to show is importance by getting p.o’d and he said the Karen incident. I said I didn’t have anything to say that hasn’t been said already to Karen so if you would just repeat what she told you and I will confirm or deny. He gave Mr. Stewart and I the look of yeah right you aren’t going to own up to anything......
