Most gas pumps are set up the same way. To mute Gas Station TV, try the button one down from the top on the right side. Almost every gas pump in America uses the same main interface: One rectangular screen with columns of four buttons on each side.

Seems like gas stations are trouble magnets more than in the past. I try to watch everything around and listen when I fill up a vehicle, gas station TV makes this more difficult with the noise.
Wonder if Maria Menounos has any helpful tips on avoiding carjacking?

Some (at least for a while) would let you mute it by swiping down on the right buttons from top to bottom.

Some details added just after midnight. Brief summary:

Woman leaves kids in car to grab something from gas station.

Returns to find man trying to enter the car.

Tells him to go away because she has kids in the car.

He demands a "ride." They struggle.

Third person, a man, shoots alleged carjacker.

Fourth person, a woman, who was carjacked earlier saw her vehicle on the evening news at the scene.

Crazy, interconnected stories. I'm guessing that the INGO interest might be related to the Good Samaritan injuring the attempted carjacking victim while coming to her rescue. Rule 4 violation, perhaps?

Wow. I didn't catch that part. I thought the female was part of the carjacking crew?

It's for sure this is what happened?

Would be interesting to know what, exactly, the third party "thought" was happening at the time.

If you're not directly involved, it's very easy to be mistaken as to actually what's going down.

Thanks. Reading is fundamental, right?

That does provoke thought. The sometimes shocking revelation that best intentions may not result in the best outcome.

    .
Don't feel bad. Following the details of this story hasn't exactly been easy thus far.

It's only going to get worse from here on out when you have a large uptick in crime, followed by weak prosecution and things like no bail.
They won't touch the criminals but they will go after the people who are being forced into dealing with criminals themselves.

Interesting times. You are going to see much much more of this in the years to come.

Agreed. I said that in another thread. Either we have systems in place that provide "justice" or people will deal with problems themselves.
