Snow? It's 43° over here.Snowing in my back yard but not in the front yard right now. Both weird & cool.
What brand?I got two this year. Decided I am finally too old to be shoveling snow.
I got both of these.

My dad bought this new around 1978. About 4 years ago the second stage cast aluminum impeller let loose and the old tecumseh was shot so I found the previous model for the second stage impeller and swapped the motor that had the nice cowling and added new rotor bearings. Was going to get a new Ariens because the original tires sucked going up hills on the path. Put these tires on and my plans for a new blower went out the window.I got two this year. Decided I am finally too old to be shoveling snow.
I got both of these.

Those are both very interesting. I hope you let us know how they work. With that little one you can take off the snow power-shovel and put on a variety of other attachments - right?I got two this year. Decided I am finally too old to be shoveling snow.

That thing looks like a beast!! About the only parts on it that aren't steel are the tires....quite a change from our couple year old TORO....My dad bought this new around 1978. I like that cable arrangement for turning the chute. That looks like it should be faster than the drive mechanism on my big one.My dad bought this new around 1978. Cost of all the repairs a few years ago was about $150. The Ariens was +/-$1000 range. It was more of a want than need. Also since many blowers will only see a few hours a year use, being 60+ yo, I find it hard to buy a new blower that someone else would most likely use more than me.That thing looks like a beast!! Never had an issue with it. Just a few drop of oil on the flange every season.I like that cable arrangement for turning the chute. That looks like it should be faster than the drive mechanism on my big one.
Ya, I sent the sent the article to my wife so she does not get blindsided by it since she is originally from Fort Dodge. She recognized 1 last name, but that's as far as it goes as of now.I may have to step away from INGO until that "Couple drowned newborn baby" thread is gone. Makes me sick every time I see it.
