I have some Federal 357 mag 158 gr jacketed soft point, Remington 357 mag HTP 125 gr semi jacketed HP, Buffalo bore 38 +p 158 gr semi wadcutter hollow point and Underwood 38 +p jacketed HP all on the way (birthday discount from Midway USA). Trying multiple loads to see how they feel. The 158gr FMJ flat nose 38 I shot yesterday was very light and I also shot some S&B FMJ flat nose 158 gr 357 mag that was very manageable. Will keep an eye out for the PPU and give it a try. Want to carry the hottest load I can comfortably shoot if need be.Not the first person that has done that.
PPU makes a nice relatively warm 357 load - if you can find it. My go to factory ammo for 44/357 mag.
I re-introduced it to CM and he approved of the powder charge,
