Not the first person that has done that.

PPU makes a nice relatively warm 357 load - if you can find it. My go to factory ammo for 44/357 mag.

I re-introduced it to CM and he approved of the powder charge, :D
I have some Federal 357 mag 158 gr jacketed soft point, Remington 357 mag HTP 125 gr semi jacketed HP, Buffalo bore 38 +p 158 gr semi wadcutter hollow point and Underwood 38 +p jacketed HP all on the way (birthday discount from Midway USA). Trying multiple loads to see how they feel. The 158gr FMJ flat nose 38 I shot yesterday was very light and I also shot some S&B FMJ flat nose 158 gr 357 mag that was very manageable. Will keep an eye out for the PPU and give it a try. Want to carry the hottest load I can comfortably shoot if need be. 1664839120668.jpeg

My nephew recently told me the same thing when I was helping him field strip and clean his Kimber. “Hoppes is one of my favorite smells. It always makes me think of when I was a kid and you and Dad would get all the guns out on the living room floor and clean them”. Miss those times. Made me tear up a bit.
As a side note, I should be at the Proteq Open House in Brazil, IN at the end of the month. I will have most of my CZ pistols with me if you want to try any. They are not Wizard touched (yet), but it would give you an idea of what you get out of the box.

Is that just an open to the public open house or an INGO thing?

It's awesome. If it weren't so far, I'd love to shoot there more often.

Hell...I'd love to shoot more often period.
It is an hour from my front door to there. So I maintain a membership out there. Pre-2020, I was getting out there around once a month. CameraMonkey and I would go out there for a good 3 - 6 hours. Make a day of it.

This past year I haven't gotten out there as much as I like.

It's at least 1.5 hours for me. My farm and podunk range is 50 mins the other way. If I have any free time for outdoor activities I tend to go to the farm.

Don & Stephen have talked about doing an INGO only open house, but I don't think this is that one. They talked to CameraMonkey, myself and Beowulf about it last time.

Would love to go, especially if they had an INGO event. I'm bummed I missed the one grillak setup for August, but I ended up getting busy and forgetting all about it.

I need to get out there some time. Life will likely get in the way for this upcoming one, with some upcoming family medical stuff that should be getting scheduled soon, but I've heard great things about Proteq.
