I am not a Jump master or HALO but regular stuff max speed is around 150 kn.

I would think 300 kn would knock you out ?
I had nothing to do with fixed wing operations so I don’t know what they could have dropped at 300 kn. Didn’t think it would be slow enough for a jump but maybe slowed down for BDA or to drop a payload to do the damage

When the claim is made that the US and EU in this matter are aligned and both are in cahoots to frame the Russians for the Nord Stream 1 and 2 sabotage (as it almost inevitably will be to explain this away), will that be an 'insane conspiracy theory' or seem plausible to you because of your own biases?

There is no more rationale for the EU to worsen its own energy crisis than there is for the US to commit an act of war against a nuclear power in order to further some shadowy political conspiracy

Edit: The time to just 'shut it off' would be before Germany ever became over reliant on it. If only some US president had warned them that Russia was an unreliable partner to mortgage their energy future to. Oy!

I don't see the US shutting down a Russian pipeline.

Now a US pipeline? That's a different matter.

Do not forget the currency war currently going on.
Even back in 2021 US dollar reserves held by foreign governments(and central banks) had already fallen 59%(per the IMF report).
Now that was a big problem for not only the USA but the IMF(SDR's). The dollar needed to be stronger.
Toss in Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the dollar assets of Russia taken and that problem had a huge expansion happen for most of 2022. It has actually accelerated. US Treasuries are being dumped world wide. The EU,Britain,Japan all joining dumping them in the last few weeks.

The only option left for the US is to retaliate. Which we have done. Trading our foreign reserves to try and soak up some of those treasuries being sold. Further weakening the Euro,Yen,Pound, and Yuan. Yes, it was a deliberate act by not the FED,but US Treasury and is ongoing.

So back to the pipeline. It was sold in Rubles and ONLY rubles. The US had nothing to gain in any way. The new Nordic line(though 1/5 the volume of Nord 1),yep priced in USD. IE they need our currency to fulfill the contracts. Win for the Dollar(same for all LNG transports even those from the UAE,priced and sold globally in US dollars).

So not only would the US taking it out eliminate an income stream from Russia but a proxy one for US dollars was created the same day(by our new best friends in the EU Poland).
Current IMF data for 2022 on central banks holding seems unavailable. Here is the statement they made in 2021.

The US Treasury has sold nearly half of all our foreign reserves just in 2022,and it is accelerating. The actual Data. It is a defensive assault to protect our currency, at the cost of most others. Our inflation would be well into double digits if the US treasury had not done this.

In answer to the question about military aircraft in FAA airspace: Military aircraft are required to follow FAA regulations, except where special coordination is made with the appropriate FAA control center. Military aircraft in FAA airspace are subject to flight violations, but those violations don't go to the pilots, they go through the military command, which can take disciplinary action or not, as they choose. I never flew under ICAO regulations, but I imagine they're much the same, with the same sort of procedures for dealing with flight violations.

Quote from the article: It is still unclear who carried out the alleged sabotage on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines and how. Sabotage from the air seems rather unlikely. Göran Swistek, a German frigate captain and expert for maritime security, believes that special explosives may have been attached by submersibles.

The problem with figuring out who did the pipeline sabotage is that the only people that are actually in a position to know who did it aren't people with a history of telling the truth.
I am personally looking for Sweden to make a determination in their investigation. Don’t explosives leave a residue? Does that still apply underwater?
