    Hahahaha, just kidding.
I've had several friends ask to take it for a ride. If I don't have verifiable knowledge of a person having experience on a bike with this much power I don't even consider it.

Obviously, we have similar tastes in two-wheeled conveyance. If you ever get serious about wanting a ZRX, drop me a line. I have deep roots in the collector and customization community of this model.

Oh, I know the rules, my “offer” was definitely tongue in cheek, haha!

But if I ever DO plan on picking up a ZRX, I’ll absolutely take you up on your offer, thank you!

    Love it. :)

Maybe it's just my lone rider style and how I look at things? My bike is nothing special, but it gets ridden by only me.

I sold a college kid my Honda Interceptor. He came back from the test ride with the plastic and one grip scratched up from dropping the bike in the gravel. Happily, first words out of his mouth were "I'll take it." I threw in the helmet for his cold December ride back to Bloomington.

Alas that is far too common an occurrence. Pre-purchase test rides/joy rides often end in heartache.

This also happens after a purchase too with inexperienced riders. I remember one time when I was at a dealership perusing the inventory and someone just purchased a sport bike then got on the throttle after leaving the parking lot and proceeded to lose control and run it right into the ditch. He was a little banged up along with his new bike but nothing serious other than the embarrassment of having just done that witnessed by a salesman and some customers.

I pieced together a very capable ZRX1200r a few years ago. It's a beast....but sadly it doesn't get ridden much.
1224/cams/lightened crank with a ZX-1100 6-spd and a custom EFI system. Titanium full exhaust system.
ZX-14 forks fitted with CNC'd triple trees and Ohlins rear shocks. +3" custom swingarm, forged race wheels, carbon fiber and titanium EVERYWHERE. Lots of one-off parts and hard to find pieces. I won't say how much I spent putting it together but it's not worth half what I have in it to anyone else. I often think about selling it and just accepting the loss but then I straddle that bad boy and fire it up.... all thoughts of selling are quickly erased. View attachment 221666

    Original news release below:
Shelby County, IN - A motorcyclist was killed this morning in a single motorcycle crash on I-74 near State Road 9. At 3:38 a.m. Deputies from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, along with Troopers from the Indiana State Police responded to reports of a single motorcycle crash westbound on I-74 at the 113 mile marker. When Deputies arrived they found an adult male pinned under the motorcycle, he was unconscious and unresponsive. Despite life saving efforts by first responders, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigation by Indiana State Police Crash Reconstructionists determined the motorcyclist was westbound on I-74 and exited onto the ramp to State Road 9. For unknown reasons the motorcyclist applied the brakes and began to skid. The motorcycle fell over and trapped the rider underneath. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.

After about 25 years without a motorcycle and now 16 months having one again (2021 Africa Twin) I finally got off my ass and ordered a proper riding jacket (Dainese D-Explorer 2 Gore-Tex). I debated getting a mesh jacket earlier in the summer but decided to hold off and get a four-season garment instead.

Dainese has these for 20% off right now which eases the sting a bit. This is definitely a “buy once, cry once” purchase. All the bells and whistles plus CE Level 2 armor throughout including spine protector. I hope I’ll never need the protection features but practicality wise this has been a long time coming. I got sick and tired of riding in T-shirts and hoodies thinking about what would happen if I fell off going 70 mph on the interstate.

…. I got sick and tired of riding in T-shirts and hoodies thinking about what would happen if I fell off going 70 mph on the interstate.

Easiest way to NOT think about falling at 70mph on the interstate is to do 70mph on the backroads. Problem solved!

Congrats on the new Dianese jacket. I’m a big fan. Their gloves are, by far, the most comfortable moto gloves I’ve own. Top quality gear.

A man who had never even owned a motorcycle bought one in Dallas, TX. He asked me if I would go get it and ride it to his house, as he was nervous to ride it the first time in on the freeways. He also knew I rode sport bikes without wadding any of them up. It was a fully customized Yamaha V Max. The picture showed really fancy paint and some other bling. I got there, exchanged the appropriate paper work and was tooling down I-35 in a few minutes. Even using the right hand gently, I could tell the bike was plenty quick. The first time I got even part of a handful, I was staring at the sky. The Vmax was kind of a hot rod of a cruiser bike anyway, this one had a ton of professional engine work. Scary at first, then addictive. Being someone else's bike, I tried to be conservative, but it was easy to hit the wild zone. The chassis worked ok, but not as good as a true sport bike, especially for that much power. I could not even imagine a lesser experienced rider on that bike.
