Found a really cool area to explore around Solsberry, IN.

Wife heard about a sculpture trail. So we went. 3 miles of trails with around 130 sculptures throughout. (my only beef is there was a lot of doubling back) Some REALLY cool sculptures, as well as some head scratchers.

And its only 10 miles from the Tulip Trestle. Its a really tall half mile long railroad Trestle. Its the the longest rail trestle in the country and the 3rd longest bridge of its kind in the world. I tried climbing the hill to get a shot from the top of the Trestle, but holy crap it gets steep. I'm like a mountain goat, but it got challenging near the top and I had to go back down. I'm gonna feel it in the morning.

Then we had lunch at the Yoho General store. really good food. While tiny by Hoosier standards, the breaded tenderloin was excellent.

It sounds like you may have missed the real sculpture "trail". If you take the next road west (CR 240 N) of the Trestle a local artist has sculptures made from recycled materials along both sides of the road for quite a distance. Sculptures range from a bigfoot, dragon, and a lion to a gnome village spanning 100+ yards along the road.

Also, I don't know if things have changed recently but the hill you tried to climb used to be private property and though many people did/do climb it, that is generally frowned upon by the owner.

Looks like a neat place to explore and reminds me there's so much to see and looking forward to the next trip. I grew up near Vincennes and we spent a lot of time in my youth on Patoka Lake. I have much more appreciation for art and history now with time to pay attention to it.

I really like the Solsberry area. Used to drive around there for work way back when. SR 43 is a fun drive.

Apparently Yolo* Cafe was a huge hit. Once again tonight my 15yo said it was the BEST hamburger EVAR and he wants to go back.
    Yes it was good.
No we arent going back an hour each way JUST for a burger. Its not THAT good.**

*I got the name wrong once, and the wife corrected me. Ever since then just to poke the bear I choose another similar name. Yoho, Yolo, Yoohoo, Hooha, etc. :):

**I suspect walking 3 miles and being 2+ hours late for lunch had a bit to do with how good it tasted.

I stumbled upon that store once randomly on an expedition to that area looking at a piece of property that was for sale. I was really impressed with the place. The staff was super friendly and the food was really good. I am happy to hear the place is still in business.
