Listening to financial news this morning it’s abundantly clear that tptb are terrified of not being able to censor the town square.

Elon musk is as much of a wildcard as trump.
I think he's predictable if one's imagination for what's possible aligns with his. Also, Musk appears to make his decisions based on whether he thinks it will impact humans positively.

So, before all this, would I think Musk would buy ~10% of Twitter? Yeah. It's within my perception of his range of ability, and I suspect he would think being on the board could influence Twitter. But that lacks imagination. Would he buy Twitter outright and turn it private? I did not think that was possible. Maybe he did not think that was possible either until he thought it out. Maybe that's why he bought 10% first. Then thought, uh, maybe....

If nothing else, this news is showing the cognitive dissonance of the leftist media. They're actually coming around to the idea that Twitter could be used to silence opposing viewpoints and be manipulated to advance a narrative.

They'll never accept that this is already happening with conservative viewpoints, but at least they're getting closer to seeing reality.

It's not a done deal yet and wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't get fed approval. Not to mention more scrutiny across the board from all the govt. agencies on him and his business dealings. If I were him, head on a swivel. :tinfoil:

This is the truest statement in this entire thread.

I'm not so sure he really has the best in mind and heart.

Just because he's an attention whore and says the right things at the right time doesn't mean he doesn't have a secret agenda.

No, he's buying a MASSIVE gold mine of personal information. What he can do with all that data... Zuckerberg can only dream.
Using this post as a launch point for a question. Musk spends $43 billion to buy Twitter and it is a big deal on all sides of the political spectrum. Zuckerberg spends over $450 million to buy an election and hardly anyone says a peep. Why?

Where are all the memes of Zman buying an election?
